(Small warning upfront: English isn't my first language and I have a headache. My wording might sound both awkward _and_ bleak. ;) )
Arguably, NG will still be around for a while, so the merch would probably not 'lose' in value in the foreseeable future. I think 'right now' might not be the best time to sell anything, because one pandemic and two wars don't exactly inspire confidence in the future. So many (not all) will be rather careful with their expenses. And then there's the "sudden" realization that all those experts who spoke up in the 70s about climate change becoming an issue in a few decades if politics didn't intervene 'did' have a point... Fun times. -.-
On the other hand the main reason prices for memorabilia go up is if something experiences a boost in popularity or a 'perceived'/'expected' boost in popularity - AKA people who don't know much about a fandom but speculate with 'rare items'.
I would say you could expect a more optimistic outlook in March at the earliest.
Right now I would say: Keep them. Even if they were to 'lose' in value, most currencies are probably going to get hit harder. Plus: You seem to 'enjoy' having them. Taking what I just wrote into account, having something that can make you happy seems far more valuable than some extra cash.
