So some programmer in college from germany made a clone of myspace called spacehey and it has over 100,000 users. I'm curious if anyone has seen stuff like this happen before, can they get sued/told to take it down based on using the old layout/icons, do you think it will last or be successful, and would you make an account there?

Honestly, MySpace is dead at this point, and since that SpaceHey is a fan-made project (as a disclaimer on the footer), it unlikely they get sued or such, though I not aware of copyright standpoint in term of Germany.

Myspace was simpler times. A time when alt-right and alt-left where friends. (Back then, being 'alt' entailed you were some rock groupie weirdo that had died hair and hung out at hot topic)

Aka-38caution pointed out there is a disclaimer. I guess that would protect them to some extent. I figure theyre right that copyright may be different in germany as well
