I was thinking about how I used to think viewing art helped me have skill as an artist in some way, and I progressed into feeling like it was not a productive habit if what I really need is to spend more time producing anything to gain skill in that craft. Tonight I had an experience with directly feeling inspired by some of the art portal work I had seen earlier in drawing something for fun that ultimately turned out better than I anticipated. What I really need is a way to balance these aspect better to increase my functionality.

art is the pinnacle of what it means to be human. People use art to express/cope with hardships, I use to it to explore the impossible. the technical stuff keeps me fulfilled but art is the only thing I have to look forward at the end of the day is art. sometimes it inspires, but sometimes it sends me into a funk when I realize most of my artistic visions are insurmountable to realize.
