You ever work 50 hour weeks?

Posted by Boss - August 6th, 2023

I think Im working around 50 hours this week and it makes me wonderwhat yall experience with this is… i dont have the natural build for regular work weeks letalone over forty hours but im just trying to adapt to it to create more stability and adaptability in my life …. I lived essentially similarly to a disabled person from strong depression not too many years back and maybe it was good to rest and maybe it was me being sort of lazy… but its brutal to push yourself essentially just because you need money and cant market yourself and cant recognize and bring out your more valuable skills, or seedlings of them

It rlly depends on the type of labor(I just sit on my ass all day) but honestly after a back2back double I kinda get used to it & a normal 8hr shift feels fast!
Seriously though, it’s about routine. Good that ur atleast trying to do something after being dormant for years, Ik ppl who have nvr bounced back from that & for good reason. Shits hard

Yeah that's true and our society is very insidiously cruel

my last job was at a pizza parlor, work everyday and have one day off by which was monday, saturday and sunday i worked day and night, it was about 70 hours per week

I think that workload would send me into a violent nervous breakdown and then i would collapse!

@Boss yeah dude, that's was hard i admit i was getting crazy too, that's how it's to live in an underdeveloped country. But thank God i'm very faithful, healthy and strong dude

Things are better for you nowadays i hope?

@Boss Thank God they are, I have been working some years as an employee, pizza parlor before that loading and unloading a truck with furniture, etc, been saving some money during those years, nowadays i work at home doing comissions, drawing art and ting, i have an animated series sometimes i got some donations as well i do some side jobs where i can find like in other restaurants and ting

I ones did a 58 hours work week. It was weird. I didnt feel to tired. but after I got home being free from work for 2 week I was glued to that bed. But it felt good working becouse I chose to and I wanted to help out. But I would never wana work like that every week.
(We were painting a house that needed to be done before we all would take vacation)

I work 50+ hours/week regularly but little of that is physical labor.

don't burn yourself out. good health and sleep come before grinding. if money is tight, see if you can find roommates or cut back on something you least need. ask if you can be placed on less stressful duties or varied tasks so you can maintain more interest.

I can relate from being unable to work from depression/illness. It's not the full motivation/appreciation why I work long hours, but I'd much rather be working than ill at home.

Yeah right now im at the stage of realizing im burning out and this is what i need and trying to integrate it
