I really like how the intro is just this banging drum line and then the bass comes in and sounds really video game like and the timbre is just like perfectly crispy. then the lead instrument makes it sound even more like perfect video game music but its strange, i dont know if the composition itself and speed makes it sound more like it would work in a video game or what, because after the second break when the instruments come back it seems more like I start to realize the do sound smooth like VSTs but theres some sort of classic style to it. it may be because the guitar comes in first in the second half instead of appearing when the track is peaking

Well when I was composing this I had no idea who Piconjo at the time was. A friend of mine filled me in on it and using his picture as the inspiration for it, I wanted to go a route different than what most people view Piconjo as. The majority see him as a villain, whilst this particular artist saw him as an Anti-Hero. So I figured this guy's supposed to be related to Newgrounds, related to Pico and that's been around since the late 90s. So I based it around that, this person was pretty much the Anti-Pico, so I gave him a song that pretty much summed up the Newgrounds Franchise as a whole. Somewhat, cheesy and comedic, but somewhat serious and a lot of action.

The fact that it may work as a video game song is a welcome surprise, because that's how Pico got started. So I figured Piconjo deserved the same treatment.

This is really inspirational and a really great message. I love the vocal effect thing going on here its like a talk box or something but really unique

Thanks.

everything about this is so heavy and strong , its very compelling. the breakdown/quieter sections contrast the heavy drums and synths well by being so peaceful/eerie

Sinthology responds:

thanks for stopping by <3

This melody kind of slightly reminds me of despacito and that old metal health will drive you mad song but a super chill version that’s actually pretty unique. I also like that the string/synth goes pretty high and doesn’t get shrill at all and the bass is a really nice texture

Thank you friend for deep thought on this track I really appreciate your feedback and unique look into the song. and what you feel about it. Stay awesome friend and stay creative!

I could totally hear this in an adventure game as part of the soundtrack. Really fun and feels like you should be a hero jumping over buildings to this

AudiosErgeon responds:

This is an awesome visual thanks for the like!

This sounds like it could be in cave story or a snes rpg, really authentic sounding!

CIEIRMusic responds:

Ya. Funny enough in my second Press Start album, there is a cave level song.

This is kind of awesome theres something kind of awesome about just putting up the single synth and listing what it is with what effect on it. If you knew the bpm and listed that people could plug it into a song with the same bpm like a dj. Maybe im over thinking it but really inspired that you would just upload the single instrument this way

6clawdy6 responds:

LOL, glad you found that inspiring! Makes me wanna keep up the good work, ya know?

The eggs style intro reminded me almost a little of adventure time, which is nice, i mean if youre familiar you might know what elements remind me of it, not meant as anything but a compliment or simple comparison in style. This is good but at times felt a little harsh. I really liked the helicopter style chopping sound at the end. which is ironic because thats a sort of harsher sound innately but it sounded a little smoother than the section before it for some reason. Also the description is interesting, you should try not to make enemies who will try and trash ur stuff xD

Kelpalots responds:

LOTS OF BACON with those harsher sounds! Thanks for reminding me how video game this was, and how it could reflect. Adventure Time does seem to fit it too. That one episode with the core people and their goddess seems to feel a little unreal with how it seems to just fit!

As for the enemy, he did some major thing on our planet like TNTing a bunch of buildings. He doesn't like the fact he told me so either. I would have been blissfully unaware had he not told me these things. He happens to like to destroy people who are important too. And take all their money and worth. So naturally I DID NOT want an enemy, and he happen to be one, because I had worked hard making a lot of things happen for our planet. It totally destroyed his idea of destroying reality.

would love to hear this played live on some big speakers, this is a classic and great dance song with the eq warpy sound breaks, the drum breaks, really nice clean bass and synths, distortion drums at 2:40ish are super nice too. ok i wont keep going on you get the point. really awesome and i wanna hear this on some hennessy sound design speakers
