I freaking love that movie
Cave Story and Mother 3 were in ways important games to me as the plots and thematic elements of these games were very different from most games and in that sense rare, peculiar, and important. To see them represented in a pretty artful and fun visual representation is sentimentally as well as symbolically, really cool to me. The other characters drawn here look just as good, and my unfamiliarity doesn't take away from the art. This whole image has a beautiful vibrancy and the boldness of red running through everything is done in a way that gives it a good pop, but the slightly subdued tone helps it stay subtle and doesn't overpower what the image represents, or the geometrical composition of the image (which is very nice as well) thanks for making art
It’s like a more scifi comic book version of weens the mollusk album cover, although the style presented here is more digital nouveau and more unique to be able to be pigeonholed into sci fi or comic book as a label or video game or anything, there is a good flavor here that I have not witnessed before
I love the way that the colors seem bold yet soft at the same time, the style reminds me of cave story. the animation itself seems a little jerky, but also really fluid when you concentrate on it a little closer. your art style would be great for a video game, but of course, it is really great on its own as an art piece. I think the way that the things in the foreground and larger pieces of the background that seem closer to the point of perspective are simpler and the things further away and that are more in the background/less the focal point being more detailed is something that really brings it together and makes it pleasing to the eye and engaging in a way that just makes you feel good looking at this, and want to keep staring at it. great work, keep doing what you do !!
Thank you for your kind words. The animation is jerky, yes. I think I messed up the gif capture a bit. Funny enough, she is one of the characters I designed for Aftertile, the game I'm currently developing. That's also the reason why the background look simpler in comparison to the others, it's because I designed that map trying to focus on visual easiness. It's great to know that the piece feels good to look at, it means a lot to me. Thanks again!

this is a good unique art style and I hope you make more art for newgrounds because this is really different in a good way. the anatomy and style is great, good shapes and composition, definitely worth it to put more art out if you enjoy doing it
I really like the hair pattern. kinda reminded me of spiderman at first but it is unique. nice color palette and boldness of lines, these things all match each other very well, it may be in a sketchbook but its presented very nicely and the art style is super tasteful, this would be a great style for an animation or advertisement or even for something punk rock themed or oriented. good job!
This is super dank. While it's simple and you can tell it was put together quickly, it just looks so good that I expected it to be in the art portal until I looked closer and realized you could've made this like really really fast. I guess in a way this is part of my concept of art that made me feel like I saw things in a different way than a lot of other people online, is that sometimes something that can be made really quickly with not a lot of effort is put together in a way that has a really great style and a lot of tact and can be reasonably praised far beyond what it deserves just because it came out artfully. Good work!
Thanks! I end up doing a lot of quick stuff like this to step aside from animation projects, or for a warm up.
