Seemed good at first

Then I realized the jumping was terrible and that there are screens where you have to have perfect jumping to get through, which completely ruins it. The fact that you cant jump and shoot simultaneously also bugs me a bit.

Genocide responds:

if you could jump and shoot the "puzzles" would be useless, it's an invalid complaint. The jumping has been fixed in what has been done thus far with the sequel.

Old idea

The whole retro atari flash game idea is old by now, and I have seen games that look like this done before, and done better. This game had awful wall jumping, the only hope you ever had was to mash A and left and right repeatedly, and it's not possible to really choose which side you come up on between the two walls you are jumping on, you just have to pick which ever one it sends you towards, and if it is sending you right into an enemy you have to try again and hope you don't end up flying into the same enemy. The explanation of wall jumping and the long jumps off of walls in game were confusing and vague. Many of the enemies were placed so you would have to jump to shoot them, and when they are one space above you it's a royal pain in the ass to keep jumping and shooting for two minutes straight to kill a single enemy so you can get some gold. The level design was frustrating, especially when you had to wall jump too much. This game got old fast and isn't a very fresh or original idea. About the level design, on the final boss, when it shot the white balls around, many times I would die, and then get spawn killed because the balls go into the little balcony you get for a spawn point.

I think I get it

does the frog live on a planet with harsh gravity and he has floating powers but they are canceled out when he touches something mid-air?

This is great man

I love the feel to this game in general, and I think the idea of just moving your mouse while you constantly autofire is also a great idea to use whether you thought it up or some other game developer has in the past. The game can get a little bit repetitive if you are going for every medal, but it didn't get old fast at all, or at least not for me because I played through this game twice just to get the medals since I beat ti before they were added. I also found that I had every power up at least two or three levels before the final level when I played through both times. I think if you did another game similar to this it would be perfect if you made it a bit more extensive.

I have mixed feelings

I feel like this has the potential to be a very fun game, but I just couldn't get past the control scheme to make this experience fun for me. Thee is some good level design, and platforming in this game, though I felt like when I played through it the only thing I could think of was how annoying the controls were. Sometimes I felt like I should position my hands in a few different ways back and forth to easily hit some of the keys within a shot time or for a different area I would have to go though. Alternating between which shift key to use for the fire jump felt necessary to me because of the way I would have to reach other keys. It was just pretty awkward.
After awhile the graphics all seem to be the same thing you were looking at before and don't seem to make an effort to keep your attention to the game. I also find the lack of variety between the bosses and enemies was extremely lacking, though I would have to guess having three different types of enemies and three of the same boss was probably to go with the power of three theme which I guess I can't take points away for since it makes sense.

Overall, it was a decent game and I feel like it would have been a great experience if I had the required tools to play this game with an x-box controller. I really think anyone who does play with the x-box controller as you said in the description wouldn't have much trouble with the game, and would possibly find it close to easy or atleast a lot more enjoyable than with a keyboard.

I feel like

this is the sort of thing that can define NG, well put together little fun games, that on certain levels could be seen as offensive and on others can be hilarious. Geat job keep 'em comin'.

WAT

This game was okay, the idea of having to level up every day was kind of lame at first, but it was okay. Once I figured out how to actually beat the game, it seemed like it was really really easy and simple. After I beat the game once and kept going, the second time i went to the computer the game froze. There seemed to be some glitches at some points, also I earned about half of the medals an earned none of them at all.

I have tried countless times to make sense of this

I can never even get past the movement stage. There are always errors with the AS, i was really hoping I could get something out of this, but I have gotten nothing but anger and frustration. None of this even makes sense. So the first scene says " make your character and three frames for the following: " HOLD UP! A symbol? just on the stage? If in a symbol, do I make all of these separate? how do we magically know? Well I don't. I think I could try just examining the code to learn from it, but I don't even trust it to be correct. I did read all of the info here, I am not missing a bracket or something. This is just ridiculous that you screwed it up even so early. I don't even have any clue which AS you are speaking about though I assume it is AS2.

i can't complain that it's hard.

I was warned that it would be hard but, the one problem i really wish wasn't there is the weak jumps. if I jump over that saw blade I want to move in the air damnit! but then I land right on top of it and cut the shit out of this pink castle crashers ass. Other than that and the very sketchy animation cut scenes, this game is very good although frustrating.

MindChamber responds:

you have a double jump, you know that right? READ THE CONTROLS

still needs more

This still needs more things to add on , though the selection now is pretty decent. Also, tricky and the zombies cannot have hair or the helmet on their head. hair doesn't really matter, but It is a flaw to not have that work. I also recommend putting in guns, and more glasses like you had in the last one.
